Environment Temperature
Like other electronic devices, frequency converters have certain requirements for ambient temperature, generally "-10 ~ +40℃". Because the inverter is a high-power electronic device, it is easy to be affected by the working temperature, but in order to ensure the safety and reliability of the inverter, the use should be considered to leave room, the best control below 40℃; For derating between 40 and 50℃, the rated output current shall be reduced by 1% for each increase of 1℃. If the ambient temperature is too high and the temperature changes greatly, the insulation of the converter will be greatly reduced, affecting the life of the converter.
Ambient Humidity
Like other electrical equipment, the frequency converter has certain requirements for environmental humidity. The relative humidity of the air around the frequency converter is less than or equal to 95% (no condensation). According to the field working environment, desiccant and heater should be added to the frequency converter cabinet when necessary.
Corrosive Gas
If the corrosive gas concentration is high, it will not only corrode the leads and printed circuit boards of components, but also accelerate the aging of plastic components and reduce the insulation performance.
Vibration and Shock
Frequency converter in the process of operation, pay attention to avoid vibration and impact. When the frequency converter or the control cabinet installed with the frequency converter is subjected to mechanical vibration or impact, it will lead to loosening or falling off of welding joints, screws and other connecting devices or connecting heads, causing poor electrical contact or even causing serious faults such as short circuit during the period. Therefore, in addition to improving the mechanical strength of the control cabinet and keeping away from the vibration source and the impact source, the anti-seismic rubber gasket should be installed outside the control cabinet, and the buffer rubber pad should be installed between the components in the control cabinet and the installation plate to absorb shock. Generally, the control cabinet should be checked and maintained after the equipment has been running for a period of time.
Altitude
The frequency converter can output rated power when installed below 1000m above sea level. However, above the altitude of 1000m, its output power will decrease.
Other Environmental
Avoid the frequency converter installed in the place of rain dripping or condensation;
Prevent dust, batting and metal fine chip invasion;
Avoid frequency converter installation in oil and salt occasions;
Keep away from radioactive materials and combustible materials.
